FAQ and troubleshooting

Questions bakers ask before quoting an order.

Use this page to understand what the app helps with, what stays private, and how to ask for support without sending more detail than you need to.

Common questions

Plan, review, and share with more confidence.

Pricing inputs and assumptions

Add the costs that shape a custom bake: ingredients, labor, packaging, delivery, extras, overhead, margin target, validity, and customer notes.

Unit conversions and costing

Match package sizes, recipe usage, and units to the order. If a total looks unusual, check the amount and package price first.

Quote preview and sharing

Keep the customer message focused on price, order details, validity, and notes while private costs and formulas stay with you.

Saved history and defaults

Saved values and defaults help with repeat work. Review them before reusing a quote for a new customer request.

Local data and support safety

App data is treated as local by default. Support and feedback emails are separate and are sent only when you choose to send them.

Account and sync expectations

Portion Margin does not require an account for the app workflow and does not provide cloud sync or remote app-data recovery. Use your own device backups and the app's recipe and cost import/export features where available to keep copies you control.

Purchase and billing help

Purchase and billing details come from the App Store listing and Apple purchase tools. Support does not ask for payment credentials or promise refund or billing outcomes.

App Store download

Download Portion Margin from the App Store. Support, feedback, company, privacy, and terms pages are available here whenever you need product help or policy details.

Troubleshooting

What to check when a quote feels off.

  1. 1

    Review the entered quantities

Confirm package sizes, recipe usage amounts, order quantity, labor time, and extras are entered for the same order context.

  2. 2

    Check assumptions before sharing

Treat rounding, checks, and totals as prompts to review. You decide whether the quote is ready to use.

  3. 3

    Keep customer output clean

If private costs, margin targets, or working notes appear in customer-facing copy, revise the quote before sending it.
